Just a thought,
Does the title we all voted for actually go well with the image we chose?

I agree with Margaret. Also, the idea of using an image because it might linger in the public imagination is a rather tired concept in contemporary art practice. As artists, we're meant to question the use of images - we're certainly not meant to use them for emotional pull or because they're fun or a bit odd. Let's change the title to You've Been Framed. Why not? Perhaps we could dupe people into thinking they're coming to an audience with the ITV light entertainment programme! Too many people are split on this issue so I suggest we let a curator decide on the title and accomanying image because I think it has become a celebration of muddled thinking. And after ten years working behind a counter serving the public and using that counter as my studio space I can't say I feel caged or squashed in anymore, on the contrary, I haven't felt so liberated in years. One more thought - I'm not sure the democratic process and artistic endeavor necessarily go together. It doesn't open until February, so let's open this up before we make a mistake. Chris
